When you did the system restore, are you now back to a prior version of Avast or are you still on the v.? Also, when you did the system restore, did this revert your update for Win. You stated that your problems began after upgrading Avast from a lower version to ? What version were you using prior to this? I did a sys restore also, and at least the Avast is running now.Īny ideas on if this is more Avast 6 (At this time) with Vista The Vista updates or just a crazy combo of it all. I didn't know if it was the update for "Windows Live Essentials 2011" or the "Security Update for Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1 SP1". I too started having problems with my whole system & Avast after the update. If this does not help, you may need to uninstall / boot / do a clean install / boot again.
